I recently got to test drive the 2015 Dodge Journey Crossover AWD for a week. The 2015 Dodge Journey Crossover AWD is stunning. I love the interior and exterior of this vehicle. We’re actually a Dodge family. We love our Dodge Ram 1500. I myself have looked into getting a Dodge Charger, but the Journey is a crossover between the Dodge Ram 1500 and the Dodge Ram 1500. It has everything I love about Dodge in the Journey. Coming from our Dodge Ram 1500 HEMI® V8, I appreciated the V6 in the Dodge Journey. The Journey will get 19 MPG combined and 16 city, 24 highway.
I’m a sucker for alloy wheels and these had me gushing! The Journey has 19-inch x 7.0inch hyper black aluminum wheels. These wheels blended perfectly with the granite crystal metallic clear coat. The 2015 Dodge Journey received all good marks from IIHS aside from the small overlap front. We believe the Dodge Journey is one of the most reliable cars as a family vehicle. The fit was great for our little family of 3 and has great growing potential with the expanding 3rd row seating.
The Journey has an added feature of booster seats in the back seat if that is something you’re interested in for only $225. Our daughter really enjoyed the 9″ video screen in the backseat. She was able to enjoy her favorite Leap Frog Video in her rear facing car seat mirror. The Uconnect® 8.4N CD/DVD/MP3/NAV system in the front seat can control so much. You’ll feel like your in a movie theatre with the Uconnect® and 6 premium Speakers with Subwoofer 368-Watt Amplifier combined.
The front seat was nice and roomy. I love the look inside of this vehicle. The passenger seat also has a compartment in the seat for storage in addition to the glove box and center console. Plus there’s storage in the back row foot area as well. The handling was excellent and took sharp turns and bumpy roads extremely well. The one and only think I didn’t like is the auto dimming rearview mirror. I like having the control of dimming the mirror and prefer to not use that feature if possible.
It looks just as good from the back as it does from the front. It’s funny how I usually love just one or the other on a vehicle, this vehicle I think it’s perfection on both ends.
With the 3rd row seating down you have a nice cargo area for shopping or hauling things around. We forgot to take an after picture, but we fit over 10 Whole Foods bags in the back! I went shopping at Whole Foods Grand opening and it was fun to see how much we could store with room to spare.
I also used the installed Garmin Navigation System to get us to our destinations. I just love not getting lost – hooray for technology and cars! The warranty and coverage on the 2015 Dodge Journey is brag worthy, 5 year or 100,000 mile powertrain limited warranty, 5 year or 36,000 mile basic limited warranty, and 5 year or 100,000 mile roadside assistance *certain restrictions apply.
We really loved trying out the Dodge Journey, but hated saying Goodbye when they picked it up!
You can purchase the same vehicle we test drove starting at $28,395 – exact vehicle shown is $34,750.
