2015 Mitsubishi Mirage Review

We test drove the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage for a week, all opinions are our own.

The 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage is a fuel efficient subcompact car.  The main thing we loved about this car was the pricing and the gas mileage.   We didn’t fill it once and it still had a half tank when we handed it in.  (MPG – Up to 37 city, 44 highway)  It comes in 8 different colors ranging from fun and fresh to neutral tones.  I myself am a fan of the neutral tones.  Sweet Baby was really impressed with the Plasma Purple and kept calling it Minnie Mouse car!  In fact she loved this car so much she really got upset when we had to give it back.

Parking in the city was extremely easy thanks to the compact size.  The car was actually comfortable too.

If you scan see the back seat has no grooves and it’s just straight across.  Kay’s car seat fit fine without any issues.

Trunk space was small, but plenty for groceries and shopping.  The Mirage is actually a 3 cylinder vehicle.  Chris said he felt like it was a go kart from the sound of the engine, which I admit was a little more noisy than your average 4-6 cylinder vehicle.  Also while Mitsubishi made sure there’s a ton of safety features like anti lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution, active stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, side curtain airbags, drivers knee airbags, advanced stage dual front airbags the front overlap rating from IIHS may be a concern for some.

The 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage is an ideal car for the commuter or a first time driver who doesn’t need a car with all the bells and whistles.  It’s perfect to get you from point a to point b.  I had fun driving around the Mirage for the week with my daughter.  It was easy to handle and plus she really loved it too!
