I’ve never had to struggle with my daughter drinking water, thankfully. I’m so happy she’s never asked for juices. If and when she does drink juice we water it down, you should always water down juices, even for yourself, in my opinion. Nestlé® Pure Life® recently surveyed* moms and kids and found that between water, milk, juice, and soda, moms say water makes up 67% of their daily beverage intake, but it makes up only 48% of their kids.

Thankfully our daughter has never been a child that is dehydrated and she’s always drinking water! I love to have a small water bottle for her on the go and we really like the Nestlé® Pure Life® Water “Juniors” bottles (8oz). According to the same survey, nearly 2 in 5 (37%) moms agree letting their child drink bottled water instead of out of a cup would help get their child to drink more water. These bottles are the perfect size to take along wherever she goes. I always have at least one case in the fridge.  During the summer, she would drink one if not two of them a day in addition to the regular water we had. Super convenient for the beach, taking to the pool or even while playing at the park.  According to 88% of moms surveyed, water is the beverage their child most regularly drinks in the car. Make this a healthy habit by making sure that each child has a bottle of water in hand before they leave the house!

Thankfully they’re affordable too! Less than $3 at our local Walmart in the water section.

The little bottle she finishes quicker and that’s why it’s the ideal bottle for her lunch box. I also carry a larger Nestlé® Pure Life® for myself and hubby so if she runs out I can just give her a little refill! She eats very well and loves her veggies and fruits. I typically make her a half of a sandwich with a side of fruit, vegetables and of course a sweet treat! In the Nestlé® Pure Life® survey*, a majority of kids say they prefer a homemade lunch (57%) over a school bought lunch. This preference for packed lunches offers a key hydration opportunity for moms – packing a bottle of water can help increase a child’s water intake for the day.

This lunch was an avocado tomato cucumber salad, half of a sandwich, 2 tablespoons peanut butter, 1 tablespoon chocolate chips and a sliced apple. She ate it all and her bottle of water!
