We’re all looking for quick and simple recipes for our families these days, right? Well my family is loving this Bacon Cheeseburger Mac and Cheese recipe! It’s super simple to make and you can even prep some of the ingredients beforehand! You can cook the ground beef and freeze it for later use for recipes like this!
This past month has been crazy. I found out my great grandfather Sam was in the hospital and wasn’t doing well. Then a week later he passed. I’m so blessed that I had him for 29 years, can you believe he was 95?! I miss him so much. The crazy part is he had his mind until the day he passed. He had a memory better than my own. When we went to visit him in hospice he told me thank you for always bringing my memories back. He knew he was going.. he actually told me he was waiting for his Savoir Jesus, “but he’s too busy right now”.
Then this past weekend my sister in law gave birth to her second son and oh my goodness, he’s a cutie! I have serious baby fever. In fact.. it was when she had her first son that I caught the fever and then had Kay!
Since our month has been so eventful I’ve found that we’ve been eating out too much. I’m making it a goal to make quick and easy meals for times like this. I want to literally be able to whip up an entire meal with vegetables, protein and a starch in less than 30 minutes. Every mom wants to serve their family a balanced and wholesome meal. This Bacon Cheeseburger Mac and Cheese recipe is a budget friendly meal option that you can make in a pinch! Chris and Kay (okay me too!) LOVE mac and cheese. We also love bacon and cheeseburgers. So making Bacon Cheeseburger Mac and Cheese was a genius idea and solution. I want to have dinner ready and this is a great way to get it on the table fast while still being absolutely delicious. Plus I can snack on bacon while it cooks!!
Since I use bacon in this bacon cheeseburger mac and cheese recipe I made sure to purchase lean ground beef (93%, organic and grass-fed!) You can also serve it with some lettuce and tomatoes too! I love that my family loves to eat their veggies. I like to prep the salad once a week this way we can have it quick and easy for meals, especially for our Bacon Cheeseburger Mac and Cheese!
