Yummy Christmas Rice Krispie Treats are a quick and easy non-traditional cookie for Christmas. Make these delicious treats while enjoying Bruce’s newest book, Santa Bruce! This post is sponsored by Disney Book Group.
We’re Christmas obsessed over here. I told Kaylee that we had a new book coming and it was Santa Bruce by Ryan T. Higgins! We had no clue what the book was about, but have loved all the previous Bruce Books and right away we went to the kitchen. My daughter wanted to make Christmas Rice Krispie Treats so we got to work.
Once the book came and we were ready to enjoy our treats while we read our new book!
She quickly put her new Santa Bruce ornament on her mini tree and we got to reading. By the end of the book she was asking for crackers, you’ll have to read the book to see why.
Our Christmas Rice Krispie Treats recipe is a bit like the Santa Bruce book, it’s not the traditional cookie, while Bruce isn’t the traditional Santa, Bruce is a bear! He makes the forced effort to make his forest friends happy with the help of his little critter family.
How to Make Christmas Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients
- 1/2 stick of butter
- 10 oz marshmallows
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 6 cups Rice Krispie Cereal
- Sprinkles
Melt the butter in a large saucepan
Once the butter is melted add in the marshmallows and white chocolate, mix on medium-low heat until fully melted.
Remove the melted marshmallow mixture from the heat and add in the cereal and sprinkles.
Mix until fully combined.
Roll the mixture into bite size balls.
Then place the balls onto parchment paper to dry.
Serve or gift as desired.
We like putting them into a little box when we give as gifts. These would be perfect along with our homemade white chocolate nonpareils.
This makes for one of our favorite edible Christmas gifts to give during the holiday season. Just like Bruce and his friends…
We really enjoyed the new Bruce book and think your little one will enjoy it too! Be sure to get your copy today in time for the holiday season! We’ll be enjoying it every few nights up until Christmas, it’s a keeper!
