Welcome to our Mini Chef Mondays before and after + Double Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe for Santa with holiday decorations from Boscov’s! Special thanks to Boscov’s and BlogMeetsBrand for sponsoring this post. #BoscovsHolidayHomeTour
Last night we had a test run for when Santa comes. Everything from setting up our Mini Chef Mondays Christmas tree to even making a test batch of Cookies for Santa! We had so much fun going to Boscov’s and picking up everything we’d need to prepare for Christmas and of course SANTA!!!
When we started Mini Chef Mondays we knew we were going to make it so that it was a huge part of our lives. We knew that we wanted an area where our Mini Chef could cook and feel comfortable. Somewhere she wouldn’t need to step on stools and climb on counters. Over the summer we put together an area just for her series.
Now that it’s the holiday season she couldn’t wait to start Christmas decorating with holiday decor. What’s great about decorating the mini chef kitchen is we can use it for home decor too.
The Pfaltzgraff® Winterberry Cookies & Milk Plate is perfect for our Cookies for Santa recipe and the dip mix set is just what we needed for the reindeer’s carrots!
When we went first arrived at Boscov’s we checked out all the Christmas decor, we picked out a tree (similar to this tree online, but we got it cheaper by getting it without lights in store), lights, ornaments, and Kay even picked out three special ornaments they had on the display trees for sale. We didn’t realize that they were for sale on the trees, but a staff member let us know that they were!
I cannot tell you how helpful the staff at our local Boscov’s store is, they seriously go above and beyond. I didn’t realize they had carts since they were in the mall and one worker asked me if they could get one for me!
When we ran in, Kay first spotted the LED snowman and the light up wreath and added them to the cart. (pictured above in after photo)
She had so much fun putting all the ornaments on, especially the ones she picked out!
Once she was done putting all the decorations on she wanted to get to work on making cookies for Ho, Ho (Santa).
She decorated her tree BEAUTIFULLY! Instead of a star on top, she asked for a big bow.
We just love baking next to our new mini tree. We picked up a tea light Christmas Tree that had Christmas tree scent since we have a fake tree instead of real. We prefer artificial trees over real since they last much longer.
Apparently, Santa loves chocolate, and Kay picked up a few goodies from the candy section in our local Boscov’s for him, and ahem, her.
It’s safe to say we’re without a doubt ready for Santa. We passed the Cookies for Santa test with flying colors. We can’t wait to do it all again on Christmas Eve!
Now who wants to eat I mean make cookies for Santa!?
