Inspired by the holiday I wanted to spend all my money on Christmas and holiday decor. However, I couldn’t find everything I wanted.
So what’s a person to do? Well, I was feeling crafty the other day, so I picked up a bunch of stuff to make things. Usually, when I do this, the bag just sits, and nothing happens until I say, oh yeah, I guess I’ll use that, weeks later. Instead, this time I came home and got crafting right away.
I learned a few things in the process, like the importance of having a hi-temp glue gun. Who knew that the $2.99 glue gun wasn’t going to work well? I mean I did use it to create my craft, but it took way too long to wait for the glue, and it dried too quickly. Also, I wish my store had white styrofoam cones, not green.
I made exactly what I wanted for my holiday table, which we’ll share on Instagram on Christmas day. I’m so happy with how everything turned out from my DIY Rose Petal Holiday Tree, my pom poms, and even my glittery twin ball.
Now if I want to make more, I even have enough to make it all again. If I had purchased this stuff in the store, it would have been much more money, and I wouldn’t have multiples. Sometimes it’s fun just to create things and do it yourself. Did I mention it’s a great stress reliever? Who doesn’t have stress during the holiday season? Ha!
As far as topping your holiday tree you can do it however you like. With or without the pine cones.
