I’m all ready and rehearsed for our Easter Brunch Entertaining this weekend! I’ve partnered with Kohl’s and Latina Bloggers Connect for this post and I’m so excited to share it with you!
When it comes to prepping ahead and knowing the plan prior, that helps me feel more organized for the actual day of the party. I went to Kohl’s and purchased a ton of new kitchen and dining pieces like dinnerware, flatware, drinkware, serveware and even an adorable Easter table linen. I found some adorable drinking jars made by Sonoma Goods for Life that my daughter absolutely loves! They have a fun polka dot lid that goes on and a straw that can’t be pulled out.
Then I fell in love with all things Food Network. I couldn’t help myself and wanted to buy all the things.
Kohl’s, is a natural destination for Hispanic families as they plan and celebrate las Pascuas (Easter). Latinos create unique hybrid celebrations due to their bicultural heritage and Kohl’s has what you need to celebrate your way in style.
I found some great dishes for serving our Easter Brunch. My poor baby girl fell and broke her collar bone so we’re doing brunch here as well this year instead of going to my in-laws like we usually do. I am making a full spread and these pieces will help me put more on the table food wise, but not serving-ware wise. I also found a beautiful glass pitcher that I made some citrusade and guests can pour into the fun drinking jars.
Eventually I spotted my favorite find – the loaf pan! How pretty is it? My daughter and I made some homemade brioche bread. Brioche bread is rich and buttery, slightly sweet. I had to get the butter keeper to match too.
I planned out the table yesterday and first put on the table linen. I then washed all the dishes and put in the spots I’d be keeping them for serving. By doing this I make it so much easier on myself the day of. I can quickly prep everything and put into the serving vessels. I make a ton of food and even have some keeping warm in the oven. I cook the eggs until they’re just about done and keep them warming in a 300 degree oven to finish. This way they’re nice and warm when my guests come for serving, but not overcooked.
My daughter’s favorite find was the serving dish. She loves fruit and could just gobble it up all day! In the back of my table you’ll see adorable Easter Decor like my Easter egg tree and a Happy Easter sign. We loved that everything was actually on sale while we were shopping.
So what my daughter doesn’t know.. She was so upset we went to so many stores and couldn’t find a dress that wouldn’t hurt her shoulder by putting on.. and I finally found the perfect one at a Kohl’s I went to hunting for the Kohl’s Cares Combo Bunny Plush with the Quiet Bunny Book! It’s a strapless Easter dress and it has tons of buttons down the back making it super easy to get on her.
We can’t wait to surprise her with her Easter basket too! Oh my gosh you guys.. you know my daughter and I started the series Mini Chef Mondays right? Well.. what else would you get a Mini Chef other than MINI KITCHEN TOOLS! Guys.. I can’t even. I bought all the mini things I could find for the kitchen and even a rainbow whisk!
I also found an adorable Princess Bowling Easter toy for her but it didn’t fit in her basket. Haha, story of my life – go big or go home!
Stay tuned for Easter Sunday where you’ll see my sweet baby girl in her Easter dress and her opening her Easter Basket! Shh, don’t tell her what’s in the basket!!
