Do you ever pamper yourself? I admit to not treating myself often. I will get myself something around my birthday and say it’s for my birthday. Lately I’ve seen a ton of boxes coming out and I’ve always wanted to try one that would fit myself and my family, without buying a ton of boxes! I’ve fallen in love with the box of the month from Acorn. This Acorn box is the perfect surprise!
A few days ago I received the Acorn Box and we LOVE it! There’s really nothing better than getting surprises and products you actually love! Best of all, there was stuff for my daughter too.
As I write this she’s flying around the house with her Switch Witch! As you all know, Kay used to have FPIES, this is a great way to swap out candy your child cannot safely eat and gift them a toy instead. I’m so excited to start this holiday tradition with her! Halloween has always been a family favorite holiday. It’s still a favorite for me, just a little bittersweet. I lost both of my parents (3 years apart) in October. I really never thought I would love Halloween again, but then I remember how much my parents loved it and how much they wanted my sister and I to enjoy! I am officially Halloween obsessed again. The Switch Witches will be your child’s new best friend. Flying in with magic and feeding on your child’s candy to make that magic happen. I can’t wait to read this book up until Halloween and then switch my daughter’s candy for a special gift from her Switch Witch! I was thrilled to see this in the box as I was just about to purchase on at our local Target – where you can also find them too!
Talking about October being a rough month.. I recently bought myself a mug. It says “you are my sunshine”. I’m writing choking back tears.. I found this mug out of nowhere in the store and had to buy it.. My mother used to say it to me all the time. She loved coffee and coffee was all I needed to fill this cup. That’s where the Onyx Coffee in my box comes in! It brought a smile to my face and a warm hug to my heart as I smelled the coffee. My daughter loves the smell of coffee and took a sniff too! My husband and I love to grind up fresh coffee right before brewing so this will be perfect with our morning breakfast.
The entire time we were opening the box I could smell a delicious pumpkin fragrance and that’s when we opened up the Glade Fall Scented Candle. The scent is so incredible and you can even smell it without lighting. I’m just going to let it do it’s thing in our bathroom and then finally trim the wick and light when we have our guests over for Halloween. My mother in law especially loves Glade products and of course we always buy her the candles. Can’t wait until she sees that I have my own now too!
If you’ve seen my daughter’s hair you know how important it is to have a hair-tie that won’t pull her hair. She has curly, curly hair! Goody Hair Elastics are all we use and we were literally just about to buy some darker colored one for winter! My daughter quickly requested that I put on the gold sparkly elastic to match her purple Goody Hair Elastic already in her hair. We love to switch out each day to match our outfit. Grateful Goody makes tons of different colors!
