Get Acrylic Paint Off Paint Brush | Palmolive

I can’t get acrylic paint off my paintbrushes without a fight.  Ever have that issue?  Well recently I learned a trick!  Thanks to Palmolive I’ll never have to throw away perfectly good paintbrushes anymore.  The best part is that this trick should work with most paints.

You simply take a container and fill it up with Palmolive and then put the stuck on paint brushes in.  Every so often I give them a little stir and then about an hour later I rinse them clean.  It’s so much easier than all the elbow grease I used to put into it.  It definitely beats throwing them out too!  We really love to paint, but hated the mess and the waste.  Now we have a great way to clean up our paint brushes.  Chris is actually excited to paint something to see how it will work with real paint.  Every single time we buy the cheap brushes and just toss.  We really hate wasting money and of course items that can be reused!

We used the Palmolive pure + clear.  I can’t wait to reuse this bottle and our paintbrushes too!  I’ve even tried using it on the clothes that get stains, but sometimes those are a bit too stubborn.  I actually use old t-shirts and pants for both of us when we’re painting.  It’s better than a smock and it’s okay to get a little art on old clothing!

Obviously it’s also great for doing dishes, wiping your counters, and even homemade bubbles for outdoors!  I just never would have thought to put my paint brushes in a 1-2-1 ratio of soap and water.  It worked amazingly well and we’ll definitely be doing this each and every time we paint now.  Hope you enjoyed this tip and your paint brushes are now clean and reusable too.
