I’m a huge fan of stockings. If I don’t know what to get someone I’ll most likely get them a stocking filled with goodies! OREO and Chips Ahoy! are everyone’s favorite cookies! We threw a fun little party using both cookies and we even made our own stocking for them too. The best part is when you eat all the cookies from your stocking, you can leave it out for Santa to fill with more goodies!
party tip: use place cards to show your guests what the craft is on or what you’re serving
I love making fun treats that are easy for anyone to recreate in the kitchen. Today I’m going to share three delicious recipes that you can make in a jiffy for your next holiday party!
party tip: use sprinkles as table decoration. kids love it
I love OREO cookie balls and my daughter loves strawberries. I thought “Why not stuff the strawberries with OREO cookie balls?”. Delicious idea, right? So good! I found some beautiful, large strawberries while shopping at Walmart and got the snack size box of OREO cookies and even Chips Ahoy! on my way to checkout. These boxes are great for gifting and of course it’s affordably priced.
These set up so quickly. While the OREO cookie ball mixture is chilling, I wash, dry, and hollow out the strawberries. It’s very important that you let them dry, you want your chocolate to stick.
OREO Cookie Ball Stuffed Strawberry Santa Hats
- 20 Oreo Cookies (, ground in a blender)
- 4 OREO cookies (, rough chopped)
- 5 Ounces Cream Cheese
- 1 Dozen Strawberries ((the bigger the better!))
- White Chocolate
- Shredded Coconut
- Mix together the OREO cookies with the cream cheese.
- Place OREO mixture in the fridge to firm up.
- Wash and dry your strawberries.
- With a pairing knife, hollow out your strawberries – a small dessert spoon (or baby spoon!) is helpful to gut.
- Stuff OREO cookie mixture into the strawberries.
- Melt the white chocolate and dip the bottom of the strawberries into the chocolate.
- After dipping into the chocolate put right into the shredded coconut.
- Top with a little white chocolate on the bottom, now top of the strawberries.
- Sprinkle a little coconut on top and refrigerate until ready to serve
My hubby and daughter made up some Reindeer poop too! You simply crush up your favorite cookies and mix it with pudding, then top with your favorite cookie. We used OREO cookies and Chips Ahoy! Cookies.
Don’t forget about Santa’s Cookies, BARK!
This is so simple that my toddler almost made the whole recipe by herself. All I had to do was melt the chocolate! Place your favorite cookies, sprinkles and whatever else you’d like into this bark.
Don’t forget the milk. Santa LOVES milk and cookies. We made a frozen milk and cookies by mixing up Chips Ahoy! into some vanilla ice cream, YUM!
The best part of the party was letting all the kids eat whatever they want. It’s the holiday season, and they got to enjoy! Right before they all went home they colored in their own stocking and picked out their own OREO or Chips Ahoy! snack size box!
We love celebrating the holiday season with family and friends, but it’s most magical for the little ones. I cut each one out after they decorated them and glued them on. You can even do this beforehand so they’re dry by the time everyone leaves. They make a great goodie box too if you don’t have the cookies in them! This is such a sweet gift to give each kiddo to take home. You could even use this printable and snack boxes to gift to mommy and daddy, grandma & grandpa, sister or brother, aunt or uncle, and so much more!
