There really is nothing better than homemade sauce. I love making a huge pot of sauce for my family to enjoy on a Sunday and I even like to make my own sauce for pizza. Whenever I’m in a pinch and need sauce for something I usually like to make a small amount versus my usual amount. This amount is perfect for a few servings of pasta, a few pizzas, or even just enjoying with some fresh baked bread. I’ll never, EVER purchase a jar of sauce. For me it’s just not worth it flavor wise, health wise, or money wise. I no longer purchase canned tomatoes either because of BPA.
It may be a little more pricey to purchase containers that don’t contain BPA, however I feel that it’s definitely worth it! Do you make your own sauce? Do you have a favorite recipe? This recipe is so easy that I made it quickly before my sister came over to visit and just let it cook on a low fire on the stove while we caught up and chatted. I made her some fresh pizza, we laughed, ate, and then ate some more! I hope you try it – and if you do please let me know how you like it!
