Samsung Galaxy S6 Review
As a mom on the go I love being able to capture my daughter as she plays and of course grows. Bringing my DSLR camera is not ideal and having a great camera on a phone is HUGE for me. In fact, I am the type of person who will choose a phone just for the camera itself. Thankfully, I’ve never had to worry about a bad quality phone when I purchased a Galaxy S series phone. I know that I’ll have an excellent phone and camera!
I love the phone, while it may be a bit on the larger size compared to my other phones I like that it’s not TOO big. I’ve seen some phones that are actually bigger. The screen is the perfect size for watching videos too! The display is exactly what I’ve come to love from Samsung, crystal clear, beautiful picture. We also purchase Samsung TVs for this reason!
My favorite case for the Samsung Galaxy S6 is definitely the OtterBox defender. After my daughter dropped my S4 and shattered the screen I’ve purchased this case and have never had a screen break or any issues with my phone.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Battery Life
The battery life is definitely better than my husband’s S4 and my S5. I could go a full day without charging, whereas my husband did need to charge at least once a day, he loves watching videos so this does drain the (any) battery quickly. We’ve heard a lot of concerns about the non-removable battery, but we don’t see this being an issue. The removal batteries have actually been a headache for us and they drain quickly, we’re excited about this change.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Camera
The perks of the new S6 is definitely an upgraded camera. Cameras are the biggest selling points in a phone and the S6 packs a 16MP camera. It’s great in natural light, low light, and even captures video beautifully. All the photos in this post are unedited. With editing, they could be taken even further!

We really like that this phone comes in a variety of colors (gold platinum, black sapphire, and white pearl).
