I use a stainless steel vegetable steamer. This is perfect for making steamed hard boiled eggs. You could opt for a higher priced collapsible steamer that has a better way to take it out, but this is the one I use and love it. I use it for green vegetables like steamed broccoli, steamed asparagus, and even steam carrots with it! Don’t think you’ll only use this for steaming hard boiled eggs.
When I bought this one I thought I’d just use it for broccoli and end up using it for so much now. When you boil your vegetables you actually lose a lot of the nutrients in the water. This helps keep everything packed with all their vitamins and nutrients.
How to Peel a Hard Boiled Egg
Pasture-raised organic eggs are extremely hard to peel and if you buy any eggs fresh you usually have to wait at least 2 weeks before you can boil the eggs. I rather have fresh hard boiled eggs. You will never have a disaster of a peeled egg with the steaming hardboiled eggs method. It’s completely fooled proof. The steam literally makes the eggs fall right out of their shell when you’re peeling them! They instantly become the easiest to peel eggs just by using the steamed method. Dare I say peeling hard boiled eggs can be easy and fun by steaming?
What I love about this method, even more, is that my mini chef can easily peel eggs with me now. She would peel them before and the peel would get all over and sometimes when she did it the peel would pierce her skin since she was trying so hard to get the peel off. These hard boiled eggs are super kid friendly and allow them to peel eggs with ease too.
